Vehicles are fitted with either a hydraulic, electric or manual steering systems. The main purpose of the system is to assist the driver to steer the vehicle effortlessly and with precision. A good quality steering system and steering parts will achieve excellent handling, which makes the driver feel safe and in control.
Should there even be a little looseness in the joints, it could make the steering dangerously sloppy and inaccurate.

Why you need Steering repairs
The following symptoms could be indicative of a faulty system and would require diagnoses by a professional technician to prevent irreversible damage to it:
- Leaking or low-level power steering fluid
- Discoloured power steering fluid and/or visible metal flakes (glitter effect)
- The car makes a squealing noise upon turning the key in the ignition
- Whining or groaning noise upon turning the steering wheel
- The steering wheel is slow to respond
- Increased steering effort (stiff)

- Clockwise and counterclockwise rotation to test various pumps
- Flowmeter that measures the system flow of oil through pump and rack
- Also has an additional high precision flowmeter which is useful to check internal leaking of hydraulic distributor and suspect leaking teflons
- Two pressure gauge to check pumps with two pressure lines / dual pumps/tandem
- Thermometer to keep oil temperature under control and to heat up the oil if necessary
- Easy system to select items on test: Rack, External pump, Internal pump and for various applications
- Universal support for hydraulic rack and pump; firm and quick to adjust
- Hydraulic brake easy adjustable for hydraulic rack. This simulates wheel drag on vehicles.
